BTC DCA Feature in JPYT Wallet: Automated, Recurring BTC Purchases
JPYT Wallet offers a powerful feature called BTC Dollar Cost Averaging, allowing users to automatically purchase BTC with JPYT on a recurring monthly basis.
The BTC DCA feature enables users to set up scheduled BTC purchases once a month—every 10th at 0:00 UTC—ensuring consistency in their investment without needing to time the market.
What is Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA)?
Dollar Cost Averaging (DCA) is an investment strategy where users invest a fixed amount in an asset at regular intervals, regardless of its current price.
This approach helps investors buy more of the asset when prices are low and less when prices are high, effectively averaging out the cost over time.
DCA can be particularly effective when investing in assets like BTC that experience price volatility, as it smooths out the impact of price fluctuations.
Additionally, DCA helps combat inflation, as assets like BTC generally appreciate over time due to inflationary effects, making it a strategic choice for long-term investment.
BTC DCA Transaction Details
The BTC DCA feature costs 50 JPYT per transaction, which covers the gas fee for processing each automated purchase.
As the purchases occur only once monthly, this fee is limited to 50 JPYT per month, providing a cost-effective solution for users seeking to accumulate BTC steadily over time.
Once enabled, users can register an Optimism (0x) address to receive their BTC, with all transactions executed as WBTC on the Optimism chain.
With the BTC DCA feature, JPYT Wallet offers users a convenient, automated solution for steadily building BTC holdings over time, leveraging the power of DCA to maximize long-term growth potential.
Important Notes for BTC DCA
Optimism Chain Requirement
The BTC DCA feature operates exclusively on the Optimism chain, meaning that purchases are made in WBTC (Wrapped BTC). This setup requires a compatible Ethereum (0x) address for receiving the WBTC.
Avoid Using Exchange Wallets
Please note that using a centralized exchange (CEX) address to receive WBTC may result in the loss of funds, as some exchanges may not support these transactions directly from DCA services.
Recommended Wallets
To ensure the smooth receipt of WBTC, we recommend using a dedicated 0x account on wallets such as MetaMask or KEYRING PRO. Sending WBTC to an internal account within JPYT Wallet could cause technical issues, so it is best to create an external 0x wallet for optimal results.
